GBP/JPY= 224.53, increase 1 pip from 224.52. GBP/USD= 1.8973, increase 2 pips from 1.8971.
The GBP has reached a new low for the past week against the EUR, and a two weeks low against the USD.
Analysts attribute the GBP weakness to this morning's poor UK manufacturing and industrial output reports.
Even though this morning's reports won't prevent the Bank of England's meeting this Thursday from increasing interest rates, experts predict it will affect debates about future rising.
The JPY had reached a new low-point against the AUD since November 2005.
